The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with 43rd Ward Alderman Michele Smith, Wrightwood Neighbors Association, and Lincoln Central Association, invite you to attend a community open house to give your feedback on the Lincoln Avenue corridor in Lincoln Park. Anyone who lives near, works around, or visits this area is encouraged to attend this open house.

This open house is the first of two public events that will help inform the Lincoln Avenue Corridor Plan. This plan, funded through the Lincoln Avenue Special Service Area (SSA #35-2015) and led by consultants The Lakota Group, Goodman Williams Group, and Sam Schwartz Engineering, will help to guide improvements to this historic corridor in the heart of Lincoln Park. Given the significant changes along Lincoln Avenue, from the redevelopment of the former Children’s Memorial Hospital and the ELEVATE Lincoln Park project, to the construction of the new DePaul Music School, now is a critical time to reassess this corridor and plan for its future.

Attendees will share their opinions about the conditions of many aspects of the corridor through conversations and interactive exhibits. Topics to be addressed include: sidewalk and public way conditions, transportation, business mix, and the state of the buildings in the area. Feedback will be incorporated into a report which will be released late this summer.

FAQs

Do I have to arrive at the event promptly at 7:00pm?

No. This is not a typical "community meeting" where a presenter talks to the audience. This is a casual interactive workshop.

How long will the event last?

The open house will run from 7:00 - 9:00pm, but you may stay as long as you would like. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts on this corridor, and you may only need to stay 15 minutes to share your opinions.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Am I required to register or RSVP to attend the event?
